There was a huge Birthday bash at a restaurant called Terrace and the party went splendid.

Recently i found out that it is practically imposible to find all the genuine vintage 1995 doom game files as well as .wad files (for playing on ipod) on the web. by going through a myriad of online forrums i found that a lot of people are having trouble seeking the genuine id software.

many freeware seekers result to buying this game (whose source code was released ages ago) for almost $25 each.

SOLUTION

The following information will benfit all die-hard -doom fans. there are two links present:

1) TO PLAY DOOM ON PC

this includes the three dooms mentioned above with all the levels completely hacked enabling you tho choose which level you want to play without actually starting from the begining every time. it also comes with cheat codes. (you may have to configure screen resolutions for optimal use.). if you're looking for .wad files, all are available here too.

download zipped file from link below. unzip. double click .exe file of the version you want to play. simple

I guess I've been off the grid for quite while now, but I hope that's understandable seeing that CIE exams are at T-0 seconds now... most of them have gone quite well (presumably) given the exception of that Bio MCQ. My cousins came and went, and we went paintballing and had a BBQ at my house, as a pre-my dad's 50th birthday. Me n' Ali have been playing basketball for the past couple evenings....don't ask...i suck.

Ode to a kitten.
A sad reminder that life is not eternal.
My kitten died today, without much of a warning. He was a mere two months old, and was always so playful and full of life, running up and grabbing your leg when you least expected it. This morning he had some sort of stomach infection, and by afternoon his dear soul had departed. I can only imagine that God needed him for some higher purpose and that when the bell tolled for him, he had no choice but to answer. So, as upset as I am, I know that there is a reason for everything in our lives, and we have no control over the path set out for us. My dear kitty, we will meet again.

So, I've moved into my Nancy Towers flat, sorta. I go there at around noon everyday, and come back at night. There's a ton of roaches (see ShaggyDaily). Dad's come back from US, bringing a ton of Gadgets with him which is partially consoling me on the loss of my dear iPhone which died two days ago. It is now fulfilling it's destiny of eternal punishment (endless reboot cycle).
Also two days ago, we had a pizza party at Nancy, and watched Cloverfield. For now, I'm just gonna say that it was a great movie... ;)
For fear of giving away too much information, i'm going to stop now...

X-Men Origins.

Yeah, like Collins...I just finished watching X-men Origins: Wolverine. And, I too, think it was a great movie. I felt the movie was lacking something, though that was probably due to the fact that it was a "workprint" meaning some of the special effects hadn't been edited in and parts of the movie looked like they were made in Google Sketchup 3D.
Apart from that though, I think the movie was quite wholesome and had enough violence for the whole family!
Totally recommend it.
Go see it.
But not a workprint.
Cuz they suck.

The Mocks went great apart from the Pure Maths Paper, which was ouch. But will try harder obviously.
Been going Swimming EVERYDAY since LAST sunday which is awesome because I have finally formed a good habit! C'mon Sixpack...

Friday the 13th...

Inexplicably, this Friday the 13th held true to it's legend for many reasons...
Firstly, it was the first rain of the year! How cool is that!
Furthermore, the day went on quite eventfully with many small yet upsetting disasters ranging from getting yelled at by teachers to my scooter's kickstand collapsing. Fortunately, there was a couple of sweet moments in the day, one of which I won't mention for my own safety, but other than that one...THE RAIN! I mean c'mon, for those of you who probably don't know...I love rain, it calms the world and is a representation of nature's "awesome-ity". Also, probably the biggest news in the Geek world right now....Bluetooth on iPhone....yes it's true...!!!! I successfully sent my first picture from my old V3 to my iPhone...WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!

Yes, its true. turns out that there are a few problems that some people (or should i say 'someone') have problems with the fact that i have created a blog. i knew it would be one of those extremely shocking things that people (person) take time to get used to!

Now, i'm not saying there's anything wrong in blogging, but its hard to deny the fact that it is used a lot to advertise and that authors must be very careful about what they write! u don't want to go around creating the wrong impression now, do u?

But u know what, i do disagree as well! its not all about getting attention, i think its more about sharing ur thoughts and opinions with the world. if u have something to say, say it. and what better way to get ur point across, eh? u cant scream on a blog (i'd like to see someone try that without a video) which helps to stop everyone else from thinking that u have a bit of an ego, nor is it possible to not be heard on a blog, which makes the author feel a bit less like the smallest voice around.
So i guess its a win-win situation!

I don't plan to quit on writing already!! i just started!!!
Suppose i'll just have to convince those who disagree with me that blogging is not about showing urself off to the world, its just about being heard by those who are willing to listen!

Now, I just want to let the world know that I know all of the people concerned in the above post very closely, and as my unbiased opinion, I feel that what has occurred is a prime example of the prejudice in this world today. The blog that the above post originated from has now been removed by the blogger as a result of the problems he/she spoke about. And yet another strong voice has been kept from speaking out in this drowning world.

I mean honestly, the eiffel tower? I would at least go for the Taj Mahal or something, but yeah, whatever.

I am in a well here and hoping you are in the same well there. I'm writing this letter slowly, because I know you cannot read fast.

We don't live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the newspaper that most accidents happen 20 miles from home, so we moved 20 miles.

I wont be able to send the address as the last Sardar who stayed here took the house numbers with them for their new house so they would not have to change their address. Hopefully by next week we will be able to bring our earlier address plate here, so that our address will remain same too.

This place is really nice.. It even has a washing machine, situated right above the commode. I'm not sure it works. Last week I put in 3 shirts, pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.

The weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The first time it rained for 3 days and second time for 4 days.

The coat you wanted me to send you, your Aunt said it would be a little too heavy to send in the mail with all the metal buttons, so we cut them off and put them in the pocket..

Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting the grass at the cemetery.

By the way I took Bahu to our club's poolside. The manager is really badmash. He told her that two-piece swimming suit is not allowed in this club. We were confused as to which piece should we remove?

COLD ==>1) Make a Diol (OH) across the double bond.
HOT ==> 2) If it is hot, do step 1, then break across where the double bond used to be.
3) If there is only 1 Carbon atom in the smaller chain, then it decomposes to CO2 and H20
4) Otherwise simply make the Diol (OH) an (O), so you now have CHO on the end. (C=O)
5) Do the same for the other chain.
6) Convert the chain(s) into Acid(s).
TADA! Finished. If you still don't understand, lift the paper up, hold it in front of the sun, and look at the bottom of the paper. Now quickly move the paper away, and let the sun burn your eyes out. Ha ha, now you can't see what i'm typing....:P

Velan Time Day. (Valentines Day.)

The Gujarati Story of Valentine's Day.

In spite of what you have been told by everyone, the truth is that
Valentine's Day originated hundreds of years ago, in India, and to top it
all, in Gujarat!!
It is a well known fact that Gujarati men, specially the Patels,
continually mistreat and disrespect their wives (Patelianis). One fine
day, it happened to be the 14th day of February, one brave Pateliani,
having had enough "torture" by her husband, finally chose to rebel by
beating him up with a Velan (rolling pin).
Yes....the same Velan which she used daily, to make chapattis for
him....only this time, instead of the dough, it was the husband who was
flattened.
This was a momentous occasion for all Gujarati women and a revolt soon
spread, like wild fire, with thousands of housewives beating up their
husbands with the Velan.
There was an outburst of moaning "chapatti-ed" husbands all over Anand and
Amdavad. The Patel men-folk quickly learnt their lesson and started to
behave more respectfully with their Patelianis.
Thereafter, on 14th February, every year, the womenfolk of Gujarat would
beat up their husbands, to commemorate that eventful day.The wives having
the satisfaction of beating up their husbands with the Velan and the men

I've got exams coming up, ok people? And I don't see any of you trying to help me study. So let's not start blaming ME about not posting. So, I got in a bike accident (oh no!) a couple of days ago, but nothing to serious...and it was HIS fault. Not mine. Stop laughing.

And you know what really bugs me? When people say their blog is Daily, and then don't post for a month. My leg hurts.

I wonder how the rest of the world is doing. Especially the people related to me. And my friends.
If you know me, (or even if you don't. I don't particularly care at this point), then please let me know how you are doing. I would really appreciate it because:

We had a Physics MCQ today, and I knew ALL the answers...BUT....the answer sheet came 5 minutes late, and there were 6 errors in the paper. So, by the time they got around to fixing them, half the time was finished. And to top it all off, the teacher collecting the papers didn't give me enough time to finish! So that sort of sums up to me missing like 10 questions out of the 40. Congrats me!

At the heart of the Buzzball is a dual motor configuration, enabling the pilot to control the motion and direction of travel via left and right control triggers, which provides power to the driving wheels.

The amount of power applied to each wheel will determine the direction the Buzzball moves. Powering one wheel will spin the pod and pilot on it's axis around the inside of the ball changing the direction of travel. If power is applied equally to both wheels the pod will rear up as the wheels climb up the face of the ball forcing the ball to rotate around the pod and powering the Buzzball forward.

Once the Buzzball is in motion the pod maintains an upright position until the pilot turns, causing the pod to rotate inside the ball against the direction of travel, which applies a braking force and the pod to lock with the ball. Went to Shiamak Dawar's dance office today, which is like 45 minutes away, and spent Rs. 130 to get there!!! There was a meeting on the Commonwealth games, and that we were doing the closing dance.
Turned out to be a waste of time when they said that I had to at dance class from 5pm-9pm EVERYDAY until the 18th. Like I don't have anything better do to ?!? Oh well.

Therefore, I spent $1.74 on my haircut today. Yes that's right, the guy charged me Rs. 80 for getting a haircut....can you believe it? I'm never going back to him again. 80 bucks for a damn haircut, jeez, i could buy 16 vada pav's for that price.
(Bet you all are thinking "where can I get a haircut for less than $2"....yeah that's right, only in India, and it's yet overpriced!!!)

So anyway, the guy says....ha'an, spikes chaiye kya? Main ek dum mast spikes bana detha hoon tere liya. (Translation: You wan't spikes? I'll make some awesome spikes for you.)
(barber then proceeds to insert a huge handful of tobacco into his mouth before starting)

So, he starts "nearly" stabbing my head with the scissors and ripping chunks of hair out, and it ends up looking like a someone took a weed cutter to my head while I was riding a roller coaster.

Came back quite late last night, because I went for Palak's play. For those of you who don't know who Palak is, she one of my few "best friends", and so I HAD to go to the play she was acting in So, Ali (my other "best friend") and I went to this play, both agreeing that if it sucked, we would run for the exit before Palak even figured where we had both disappeared.
Thankfully, the play was quite good (dare I say amazing?) and we sat through the whole thing.

Today I came across Photosynth:

Photosynth is a software application from Microsoft Live Labs and the University of Washington that analyzes digital photographs to build a three-dimensional point cloud of a photographed object. I'm sooo upset today. I know half the world is going to laugh at me, but I screwed up badly. I sold my blackberry in hopes of getting the iPhone but upon dad's further research on Best Buy (which supposedly was selling the 3G iPhone for $299) revealed that it was only selling for said price WITH A 2-YEAR CONTRACT FROM AT&T. In a nutshell, this means that if I want the iPhone, i'd have to pay $600 for it, which isn't going to happen. Final word....i'm not getting the 3G iPhone.

But, on a lighter note, dad says I can still get the 2G iPhone.....woo. Sorry guys.

I've spent the past few years researching on the real identity of the Joker, and I've finally found a photograph that we may be able to do an ID scan on...

OK, OK, so that was a lame excuse to upload MY photoshopped but amazingly realistic image. In any case, school was boring as usual, apart from collecting just over Rs. 2000 from all the students (Rs. 20 x 100, the rest didn't bother paying) for Princi's Birthday tomorrow...it was spent on a fountain with a spinning rock on the top, and some cake. Someone's going to party tomorrow...not me.

It seems like the school's swimming pool has dried up, though i'm sure the rain will refill it by tomorrow.

Also, the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 are going to be REPLACED by Apple's latest invention.....

I know i'm going to go and exchange my PS3 for the WobbleBoard as soon as I can.....it has 3 interchangable games, and doesn't need to be hacked! Totally portable, no batteries or wires required. Yeah, it's really that bad! I would estimate that there was about 8 inches of water in the basement/swimming pool.

Today was a school holiday, which thankfully Sumair confirmed otherwise I would've been in a lot of trouble. I guess this was the school's way of saying, "We're really sorry the trip yesterday sucked so badly, and we'd like to make it up to you by giving you a day off".

Well, needless to say, I spent the whole day catching up on Chem and Physics homework.
Ali came over to copy my Chem SAQ questions, but soon realized that he wouldn't be able to complete it as he had to be home before 6, and I sure wasn't going to give him my book. So I, being technologically inclined (read nerd), decided to take pictures of my notebook pages and bluetoothed them onto his cell....this is the part where you say "wow".

NDA (National Defence Academy) and a Blackberry.

Today we went to National Defence Academy which was about an hour away.... I'm an optimistic person, but it would be an understatement to say that this trip was a waste of time.
What I mean to say is that if you're ever going to visit NDA...don't.
We saw planes, boats, and a projector....but that's about it.
No action, no army officers, nothing. The trip back and forth took longer than the time spent there, and suffice it to say that RIMS didn't spend an arm and a leg (or even a toenail for that matter) to get us proper food. The cherry on the top? The bus smelled like cat vomit (and I should know, I had a cat.)

In other exciting news, I finally sold my blackberry pearl > > >

for a song (Rs. 6500 worth of songs, that is.)

I know I could've gotten more for it...but, I was in a hurry to sell it so i could get back to using my GREAT phone....

No, actually, Dad told me that if I sold my Pearl, then he'd get me the new iPhone 3G when he got back from US...so me, in a hurry to get my iPhone (doh!)...sold off the blackberry even before Dad left....(yeah yeah, cry me a river)....

Teachers Day.

So, we had a teachers day celebration (or not) today...
And I think it was a unanimous decision that our dance was the BEST...
Too bad SONYA missed it. (heh heh heh)

Basically, we danced to my very own remix of "Khwaab Dekhe" and "Rang De Basanti", with me coming in as a DJ wearing my signature wig....(see below)

Dancing...

So, ever since I joined Shiamak Dawar's Dance Classes (a month ago...beginners batch), I've realized something very important:

I Can't Dance.

But hey, that doesn't mean I'm not going to! Everyone who knows me, knows that once I put my mind to something...I can't be stopped. So, this time the victim is dance. I know for a fact that, after my 14-classes-2-times-a-week course, I've definitely gotten better at dancing.
And I also know, that the more I practice....the better i'll get. So, to all you pessimists and skeptics who currently mock my dancing abilities...BLEH! I don't care how bad my dancing is, I enjoy it and that's what matters. And you can't come to any of my shows, so there. :P

Anyway, enough knocking the pessimists. My favorite dance is this one:

Another boring day at college, and there's no college tomorrow on account of Ganesh Chaturthi, but hey, Amit's not allowed to have a day off so I have to go in anyway for EXTRA CHEMISTRY CLASS!!!

Not much today, except for the fact that i had to steal Sana's Bio notes to copy tonight....mwah ha ha...

The Great Rains Of Sinhagad.

Today we went to Sinhagad, which means Lion's Fort, and is on the outskirts of Pune.

We hiked for about 4km total, stopping for kanda bhajiya and baingan burtha along the way.

Tiring, but great fun....

Anyway, just as we got into the car, it started to rain...badly. Thank you God for the Monsoon Season...

Anyway, got home safely, just in time for....Chugh's Tuitions.....woo hoo!
Went to Baan Thai for Dinner, then sat up for half an hour making this post.
